Marmomacc and Abitare il Tempo 2015
23rd of October 2015 By

Our visit to Abitare il Tempo in Verona recently was disappointing to say the least. Nothing of any interest, poor quality products and not geared up towards a designer. As you can guess, we will not be returning.
However, running in conjunction with Abitare il Tempo was Marmomacc which in contrast was very well supported and took up 90% of the exhibition. Marmomacc is the essential fair for operators in the stone industry, from machinery to instrumental products, from marble blocks to more complex processing.
One thing that caught our eye was an intricate stone ceiling, which allowed air con, lighting and sound systems to be put behind so it had fantastic design possibilities.
Also on view was a lot of stone walling that had low relief detail giving depth and interest and creating features to any marble surface. The image above shows low relief carved alligator into marble.
